ICUC is a vibrant reflection of the rich diversity that defines our community

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

The Islamic Center of Union County is more than a place of prayer, it is a vibrant reflection of the rich diversity that defines our community. ICUC brings together individuals and families from many cultural, professional, and personal backgrounds, united by shared values of faith, service, and mutual respect. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths, enriching our programs, strengthening our connections, and expanding the positive impact we have across Union Township.

Today, we proudly celebrate the meaningful role our community plays in supporting and uplifting our local economy. For the past 15 years, I have encouraged our members to make a simple yet powerful commitment: to spend at least $20 locally. Whether it is enjoying a meal after Friday prayers, purchasing gifts, or supporting our neighborhood bakeries and services, these consistent actions have helped generate real economic value for Union Township and contributed to its continued growth and vibrancy.

We are deeply thankful to our community members for their ongoing investment in our town. Your support has made a tangible difference, and it is truly appreciated. We are equally grateful for the partnership of our local business owners, whose dedication and service strengthen our shared community. Your feedback, collaboration, and continued engagement are invaluable as we grow together.

ICUC is proud to include a wide range of professionals—doctors, pharmacists, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders—who actively contribute to Union Center, Route 22, and throughout the township. Their commitment reflects the values we uphold: excellence, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

We warmly invite our followers and readers to visit ICUC, experience our welcoming and diverse community, and take advantage of opportunities to connect and promote your businesses with us. Together, we can continue building meaningful partnerships that benefit both our members and the broader Union community.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to strengthening both our center and our township. By continuing to support one another and invest locally, we celebrate not only who we are as a community, but also the bright future we are building together.

Warm regards,

Dr. Wail Rasheed

President, Islamic Center of Union County
