Message from the President of the Islamic Center of Union County
Salam alykum
As we return from our summer vacations, I extend my warmest wishes for peace and safety to all members of our beloved community. The Islamic Center of Union County (ICUC) stands as a vital hub for our children, adults, men, and women, fostering a sense of belonging and unity among us.
Our Masjid is not just a place of worship; it is a cornerstone for education and personal growth. Through our programs, we strive to educate our community, offering valuable resources for all ages. Our supplementary schools—Al-Mizmar, Al-Mishkat, and Al-Thahabiya—play a crucial role in nurturing the minds and spirits of our youth, ensuring they grow into knowledgeable and responsible individuals.
Leadership and consultation are essential for our community's development. By actively participating in local government at the city, county, and state levels, we can advocate for our needs and contribute to the betterment of our society. Our involvement in New Jersey First and the Board of Education is vital for bringing economic opportunities and business growth to our community and state at large.
Empowering our youth to become leaders is a priority for us. Through daily prayers, women’s programs, and adult education, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. Our Masjid activities inspire both children and adults, providing a space to celebrate our joys and successes, as well as a support system during challenging times.
As Muslims, we are an integral part of New Jersey's fabric, and our voices matter. Together, we can build a brighter future for our community. As your president, I am committed to continuously improving and enhancing our center, ensuring that we take full advantage of every opportunity to uplift our community.
